You will find yourself spanning Gospel, Praise & Worship, Southern Gospel and a little bit of Rock! With her amazing range and diverse background, She has a unique God given gift that spans generations, denominations, genres, and octaves.
Judith is a dynamic and experienced worship leader. She is experienced with all sizes of congregations and denominations that range from small groups to mega size. She continues to be featured at churches, retreats, revivals, fairs, amusement parks, festivals, and military events. Judith shares “I am not interested in being another 'Christian Singer.' It is my hearts desire that God use me and minister through me. I am more interested in being His servant” Her spirit of worship and love for singing God’s music will create an atmosphere worthy of the calling God has placed on her life. Partner with Judith on this incredible journey and experience “music evangelism that ministers to the soul!”
Singing since the age of four, she knew at an early age music was her calling. At age 14 she wrote her first song "Mother's Day." In 1982, she went on to compete in preliminary Miss America Pageants in her home town. She studied music for two years at Jackson Community College under a vocal scholarship and preformed with the nationally accredited “Starfleet Ambassadors.” Judith remained active in music ministry in her local church “Grace Baptist Church” and with her mother’s southern-gospel group “The Singing Messengers.”
In the mid 80's Judith was recruited to sing and tour with the Grammy nominated “Melodies of Praise,” a Gospel group; and the “St Vincent DePaul’s Catholic Choir,” in Virginia. In 1988, She toured the world with the “Army Soldier Show;” and in 1989-90 the “Ms Virginia USO Troupe.” Judith has performed for numerous dignitaries and functions to note: former Vice President Dan Quail; military Chief’s of Staff and Generals; other politicians; the Mayor of Tokyo, Japan; and sang at the National Cathedral in Washington D.C. for the ordination of the first African-American Catholic Cardinal. She has devoted twenty-one years of her life to serving her country through a combination of active and Reserve duty. Judith is proudly retired.
In 1996, Judith left secular music and devoted her talents to music evangelism. 1997 opened the door to her first project "A Christmas Gospel Encore" released on cassette tape and now out of print. By 2003, the Church of the Nazarene registered Judith as a "Song Evangelist." In 2005, Judith completed her second project entitled “In Spirit and Truth,” and she is a featured vocalist on the Christmas complication “Yuletide Friends,” singing “Mary’s Little Boy Child," produced by Doug Gazlay . Recognition at the summer 2007 Millie Lewis Actors, Model and Talent Convention as excelling in the performance arts lead to a brief moment in the "Billy Graham The Early Years" movie.
Since relocation to Nashville, TN, Judith has worked with some of the best in Christian music like Worship Leader Nathan Rogers, Eddie Crook, Barbara Roach of Jubilee Music Artist, Karen Robertson, Keith Moore founder of Indieheaven, Marvin Jones, Dave Clark, Gary & Libbie Lide, and several combined choirs . In 2008, She contributed her "high notes" to Larnelle Harris and Allison Durham Speer on "I've Just Seen Jesus," in a combined choir concert. You may have noticed her at the Tennessee District Church of the Nazarene Camp Meetings and District assemblies, local fairs, and other community, military and ministry events. She has had press in the Singing News, Christian Planet Magazine, Worship Musician Magazine, Christian Musician Magazine and made an appearance on "Music City Explosion - Inspirational." In 2009, Judith released a song on mainstream radio "His Eye is on the Sparrow" accompanied by Eddie Crook on piano via Jubilee Music Artists which is still getting National air time on several Southern Gospel radio stations. This song completed 2009 in the top 20 on the Jubilee Music Artist Charts.
Presently, when not ministering, Judith freelances in acting, modeling, photography, computers, visual graphic arts, and multimedia productions. She has been know to create her own accompaniment DVD’s. Judith works in the studio as a background and demo vocalist for other artist. She also pitches her original songs in different markets. With her wide range and ability to change her voice, she sings the majority of her own background vocals creating what “Doug Gazlay” of D-grooves, calls a signature “train sound.” When not on the road, Judith remains very active in her home church, Bell Road Church of the Nazarene where she is the Worship leader.
